RESUME

I grew up in NYC and moved to Colorado in 1971.  I graduated from the New School For Social Research, then from the University of Denver with an M.S.W.  My resume covers many of the places I have worked and describes the work I have done in the past.  I believe that how I work today, although it has a synergistic synchronicity from all I have done in the past, should be evaluated not on the basis of what you read about me, but on the basis of how I relate with you.  My resume only describes my professional work experience, who I am, and how I work is however the gestalt of all the different avenues I have explored in life.  Mostly, I seek meaning in the life, I enjoy challenges, and I aspire to grow until my last breath. An abbreviated CV spanning the essence of my practice of the past 40 years is below.

I began working with children in 1968. I did group work with children and adults for over twenty years.

I started the first sexual abuse program in CO, and at that time it was only the second one in our country. I have published in this area and spoken in four different countries on this topic as well.

Although I was trained in ego oriented, psychoanalytic psychology and taken many courses and workshops on this approach, I have studied, or taken workshops in TA, Gestalt, Reality Therapy, Brain Spotting, Ericksonian Hypnosis, Somatic Experiencing (SE), and Jungian psychology, Attachment issues, and I have studied some in regards to our Neuro-functioning.

I have been involved in the SE world since 2002, and have been a Sr. Assistant for 4 years.  I have acted in that capacity on four different continents, and worked with 6-8 different faculty members from around the world.

Other major areas of work have been as a mediator/arbitrator for the Courts in very high conflict divorces cases, and as a family evaluator for these Court cases. 1977 until 2009.
I work with children, adolescents, and adults in individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy.

I have consulted with State Departments of Social Services around the US, with local and state law enforcement departments, and with various mental health centers, and business organizations.

I also work with Olympic and professional athletes who want to enhance the mental aspects of their performance.

Currently I have just finished consulting with, and educating professionals in Norway around working with traumatized individuals from their most recent national tragedy.
